Drawings of Hong Kong by Polish illustrator Mateusz Kolek

“Alone Together” exhibits the illustration series by Poland-based illustrator, Mateusz Kolek, featuring new and old artworks inspired by Hong Kong.

Mateusz loves to experience his solo journeys without a smartphone. He believes that with the distraction from smartphones, one could miss out so much of the happenings around them. He enjoys capturing moments that could trigger his imagination and exploring the city as much as he can, so that he can bring home the interesting stories he collects throughout the trip.

Therefore it is called “Things I’ve Seen But I Didn’t Have A Smartphone” Series.

Through the series, Mateusz shares the inspiring moments he observed while he was strolling around in Hong Kong. His affection for the anime 'Ghost in the Shell' and Wong Kar-Wai's movies has led him to a fascination towards Hong Kong, a strange metropolis in the Far East.

Exhibition starts today and will finish on 9 June, 2019. A tip for visitor: Please bring your own earphones for the sound walk section!
