Free Chinese Paintings Exhibition
Counting from the rock painting from Stone Age era, Chinese painting can be traced back to 10,000 years ago. If counting from the Neolithic age pottery paintings, it can be dated back to 5,000 years ago. There is a free exhibition in Hong Kong Central Library, which there are plenty of Chinese paintings in different styles for you to explore.
”INK GLOBAL - Edication Exhibition” exhibits 200 ink paintings from the best of the best around the world. There are different themes and sections. Apart from presenting traditional Chinese ink art in a contemporary style, some of the works have also depicted modern urban life unconventionally with ink.
There are zones such as “Tribute to Master Jao Tsung-i“, “Birds and Flowers“ and many more. Don’t forget to check out the "Moving Ink" zone in which students from the Open University of Hong Kong applied their skills and transformed 22 ink masterpieces into one-minute animations.
