Unique Fusion Ramen in Hong Kong: A Must-Try Experience for Foodies
It is very hard to describe this restaurant. The Second Place @thesecondphase_hk is a ramen place, but they don’t try to associate with Japan. No Japanese menu, the interior looks like a pizza place to me. They don’t greet you with “irasshaimase”. They do not try to create a “Japanese” environment .
And the food is mind-blowing. I ordered Sichuan pepper noodles. It looked like a Japanese ramen, with the pork belly, the seaweed and the noodles. But the soup brought me to another side of the world that I just couldn’t relate what kind of experience it was. Simply I would say it was a really delicious noodles soup. Also I ordered fried chicken “Karaage”, but it was in Citrus Pepper flavour, so tasty. I will bring my Japanese friends to try this restaurant because this bowl of ramen would probably give them a unique “Hong Kong” experience.
If you look at their menu, you would find items like Black Bean Chorizo Noodles, Japanese Carbonara Noodles, a lot of interesting dishes which I will try and explore in the future!
