Nostalgic 100 Herbs Herbal Tea Shop in Mong Kok

“Tsing Ho Tong” (清河堂）is one of the oldest herbal tea shops in Mong Kok. It is so iconic among locals because of its nostalgic interior which looks so old that you feel like you went back to Hong Kong a century ago.

Unlike most of the herbal tea shops, they don’t sell the most famous herbal tea “24 herbs” which has 24 different types of herbs. They have this “hundred herbs tea”. It is so smooth that the bittersweet taste would make you feel really good. You should try that to cleanse your body for healthiness.

There is a big sign at the entrance 「有咳問我」, which means “come find me if you cough”. They have two types of herbal tea for people with coughing, depends on the symptoms. Just tell the shop owner how you feel and they will give you the drink. It is told that sometimes the owner would give you a little red pocket as a small gift for blessing to wish you recover soon. That’s sweet.
