Steve Jobs’ Jeans Arrives in Hong Kong
HK Denim Festival is held for the first time, and they have displayed three pairs of the most valuable jeans in the world.
Nevada Jeans (1880s) - the original of the original.
This is believed to be one of the oldest denim pants found. It was acquired by LD&CO. in 2001 for USD$46,532.
Homer 501 (1917).
Originally bought by a miner Homer Campbell. He had worn them everyday for 3 years (except Sundays).
Levi’s 501 jeans worn by Steve Jobs
Last but not least, the Levi’s 501 jeans worn by Steve Jobs during the mid-1980s when he introduced the Apple 2c. Later turtlenecks and signature Levi's defined the iconic look of the tech giant.
Besides these precious collections, there are also displays of other denim brands and history of denim industry in Hong Kong.
The exhibition lasts until 20th Jan in PMQ, Central. Then they will move to Sham Shui Po on 26th and 27th Jan.
