Dairy production was founded in 1956 by Father Jen Stanislus of the Trappist Haven Monastery. Their milk so so high that it was used by Hilton Hotel at that time. The brand has been famous among the locals since then.
Trappist Dairy is now operated by a company. In the 1980s, they expanded the factory and relocated it from Lantau Island to the current location in Yuen Long, gradually developing it into today’s brand, which the products are available in supermarkets and convenience stores all over Hong Kong.
You can walk to the monastery from Discovery Bay which should talk around 45 minutes. When you approach the monastery and the chapel, please show respect and maintain sanctity of the place.
